Don't need to be American or eat turkey to do this either-this is a "human" thing. Not a "flag waving" thing. So if you want to join in, please do so. Yet another awesome show. I really liked the diversity of the choices you made this show... oh yeah... and it's always cool to get props from the head of the Disembodied Voices PodCast Group.
Thanksgiving is one of those holidays I tend to skip. Since a large part of my heritage was standing on the shores telling the Pilgrims to go home, I view it more as a day to not celebrate. So, the fam sits and eats spaghetti together and thinks about what we can do to help out with tribal and NDN issues in the coming year.
I don't begrudge anybody the holiday, and have even eaten well at several dinners to which I've been invited... I just tend to be that guy at the end of the table who's not in such a festive mood.
Every day's a good day to be thankful for what you've got, so it's cool to have one more day to be grateful for everything I've got around me. I just try not to get too hung up on the whole cultural togetherness myth.
